About Sutradhaar Bharat

My connection with handlooms began long before Sutradhaar Bharat.

Since childhood, and through different phases of my life — including my corporate journey — I have travelled through villages where handlooms and handicrafts were not simply a tradition, but the sole source of livelihood for generations of artisans.

I have seen the skill, patience and pride behind these crafts, and also the distance that often exists between the hands that create and the people who buy.

I always felt that this gap needed to be bridged.

Sutradhaar Bharat was born from that thought — and from my love for handlooms .

Through the brand, I hope to bring India's beautiful textile traditions closer to people, while helping them discover the culture, heritage and stories woven into every piece.

More than anything, I want to nurture a deeper love for handlooms — not as something we reach for only on special occasions, but as something we can embrace and make a part of our everyday lives.

Because when we understand the story behind what we wear, we begin to value it differently.

Sutradhaar Bharat is my little effort to connect the artisan to the wearer, the craft to its story, and India's rich textile heritage to the lives of today.
